Summer holidays mean catching up and being with family and friends. I've caught up with friends with whom I was at college over 30 years ago! We haven't changed a bit!
I've also been spending time with my family in Wales as well as continuing on my own Reiki development.
The introductory Reiki offer has been extended with a new workshop on Resilience coming up in September.
ARE YOU EMOTIONALLY RESILIENT?
Certain events in life can test us. Although we sometimes come up against physical challenges, we more often face the everyday emotional trials that are simply a part of life.
Whether a major event like the loss of a loved one, or just a bad day at work, our emotions are constantly battling against situations in which to react to. How well we tolerate these stressors, including how we respond to them, is an indicator of our emotional resilience. The more resilient among us adapt easily to difficult situations, with the ability to cope with whatever life throws at us without becoming overwhelmed.
Does this sound like you? If not, don’t worry, as luckily emotional resilience is a trait that can be learned and worked upon! By working on your emotional resilience you can improve your general wellbeing and stress levels. Join me on 10 September for a workshop on exploring the strategies that can enhance your emotional resilience. Cost is £30 for a 3 hour interactive yet informal workshop held in Barnstaple (see below for details).

I am excited to announce that I will be offering Reiki sessions as of this month!
Reiki comes from the Japanese words meaning universal life energy. We are all made of energy and Reiki helps to raise the vibratory energy level in and around our bodies thus accelerating the body’s own natural ability to heal itself.
Reiki treats the whole person – physically, emotionally and spiritually. Reiki can be used alongside other therapies and interventions and is a safe and natural form of healing.
The method to receive Reiki is gentle and non-intrusive. The recipient remains clothes and sits or lies down. The practitioner places their hands near or on the body in a series of non-intrusive positions.
Sessions last up to an hour and benefits reported are feeling deeply relaxed, a sense of wellbeing and calm, a shift in emotions and thoughts thus allowing the body to restore itself to balance and harmony on all levels. If you’re interested in feeling the benefits of Reiki for yourself, book a session by end of September 2015 and get the introductory offer of just £30.
